This is in response to a request that volunteers wear a mask to block walk. More broadly, the decay of the party and it’s principles

Republican voters don’t vote because the party does not stand up for them. They mostly pander. Instead of pandering to the left it’s time to be loyal to supporters. If not for Trump the party would be already dead. So follow his lead and be strong, not weak. Instead of abandoning the base, cater to it. You will never win the left. The mask is largely symbolic and shows allegiance to those whom your voters despise. So don’t ask volunteers who fear a blue Texas to cater to weakness. A weak Republican Party is the reason people don’t vote. This is true where I came from in NY and will be true for Texas if Republican leadership goes that way. The only reason I make sure to vote in every election in TX and stayed home when in NY is because TX Republicans have not fully given in to the left yet and still provide as a defense against it. Many potential voters are like me. It’s sad to see TX going that way with the recent actions of the governor and the County party towing that line. This is true for most anyone you talk to. All you need to do is look at Trump to realize it. People want strong leadership. Not a party to give in to the demands of the left, force unconstitutional mask mandates, and watch while cities burn.

You energize the base by showing them that you are with them. By supporting constitutional carry, not blocking it every session. By supporting individual rights, not elitist mask mandates. By supporting the choice of businesses to open with no restrictions, not tyranny. By showing up at their doors proud to ask for support, not muzzled like a dog and showing that you are too weak to defend them. You have Trump leading by example and the party still doesn’t listen. It is Trump that people are energized for. Not the Republican Party. So follow his lead and be a defender of the people who support you. Or you will go the way of NY, whom your voters despise.
