He then went to Washington DC and held a closed door meeting, where his activities, ousting a legally agreed upon regional committee, were approved by a DNC committee The original Alabama contingents showed up to protest Perez’s actions but were told to wait in a hallway outside the meeting but were never allowed to speak.
