Nah. They wouldn't have done shit unless the riots went into their neighborhoods. The mob kept their distance in the 60's and 70's riots. And, the mob still have their fingers in major cities, you just won't ever hear much about it.

Ever since the Sopranos, everyone thinks they know the mob. I grew up around that shit, it's nothing like a tv show. If you think the mob would get involved with race riots, you watch too much tv.
