Why not do an interview Joe Rogan, Dave Rubin, Tim Pool, or another "journalist" with atleast a modicum of integrity and an open minded, independent audience?
While we all can look at this and see it for what it is, the normies we are trying to wake up will just see this as more evidence of "orange man bad". The interviews (18+ of them) with woodward can only hurt Trump. There's nothing to gain from laying in their dens.
The alternative being that Trump went into a private interview with someone he didn't trust, and wouldn't take at his word. That alternative makes no sense.

You're operating off of the basis that Trump trusted Woodward and took him at his word.
