It did not have to be a story about racy hip-hop dancing. It could just as easily have been a coming-of-age story about a girl from a repressive Muslim family who learns to love the beauty and expression of classical ballet. That might have been a good story. They chose to make this a story about sexualizing little girls. It's just gross.
