It's hard to go to the frontpage that's for sure, even as tailored as mine is. Anti-Trump and leftist anti-white rhetoric is everywhere, sports subs, video game subs, it's even crept into fight subs. Right now on r/fightporn a video is stickied of a a trans beating a "transphobe" and has been stickied for weeks now, I refuse to click on it. Every other post is "racist get's what he deserves" and it's a white guy getting stomped by a black guy. A few months ago that guy that got beat down in the Macy's, he was a manager I believe, it was hot shit on that sub and the title was something like I mentioned above, claiming he was racist and used the n-word. Anybody that doubted the narrative was downvoted into oblivion and as it turns out, the black dude literally sucker punched the guy and continued to beat him as he begged for "no reason". There was a pic of a trans person and I can't remember exactly what this person was claiming to be but it was something as simple as "proud trans gamer". It was just a pic of a tranny and it was heralded. Anything gay or trans or black is front page material and 99% of it doesn't deserve to be. Reddit is trash.
Did you see the r/animemes stuff? They banned the word "trap" and the whole sub fucking revolted against the mods. Apparently it's transphobic... but traps are cross dressers not trans... hence the "trap".
The thing I have notice is in the occasional use I still have is that a lot of the "normie" users are starting to disagree vocally, the movie cuties seems to have finally gotten them talking on other topics.
Dude reddit is straight up like a cult sometimes, they’re so toxic and negative I couldn’t stand them anymore. I remember a thread about that old guy that was pushed by a cop and everybody was just like “Omagerd! Cops are evil! They attacked an innocent old man!”
And here I was, watching the video, thinking, well...looks like that old guy lost his balance and tripped waaaay harder than they pushed. (And upon further research, turns out that dude was a known cop hater and antagonizer). But of course anything against the hivemind was instantly attacked and downvoted. Fuck reddit.
But they think they some somehow better than other social media. When in reality they are probably the same tier as Twitter, maybe slightly better than Tik Tok in terms of collective intelligence.
