Yeah, it was meant to be "inclusive" to Latinos who don't "identify" as male or female, but rather as "non binary". The way I liked seeing Latino and Latina merged was around briefly (2005-2008ish) : [email protected] I wish that had caught on, if we must have a merger word.

Somebody tell them the entire Spanish language is gendered. It's binary.
