As weird as this might sound, your kids might enjoy a documentary. I watched a few on D-day and Iwo Jima that blew my mind. That might be wrong age, but "how does electricity work", "how does an airplane stay up in the air". I think the kids like being with you, they will follow your lead as to what's on TV. Just a fellow Patriots opinion, you sound like a good Dad. Do what's right for you.

I know they like spending time with me and thats what makes it important to them, my daughter just gets psyched about the start of the NFL season over the last few years i think she genuinely enjoys it and i hate to take something away from her.
