Always blew me away that lower level politicians make more than their federal colleagues.

For example, Pelosi makes under just $200k per year and her district includes all of San Francisco and a few surrounding areas. However the mayor of just San Francisco pulls $300k a year.

How does that make any sense? And most importantly, how does an official of an agency in LA (not even a rep or mayor or anything) pull more than a POTUS?

You know how we should pay our politicians? No salary, we just cover their living expenses, bills, and give them some extra money for savings and future planning based on performance. It will really get people to stop voting these corrupt money hungry clowns into office. Plus, who would people rather vote for, a guy who only needs living expenses covered for his family in a modest ranch house, or the guy who needs you to pay a $100k a month mortgage for his ocean front mansion?

That's because football brings in multiple millions of dollars worth of profit and literally props up 95% of every other sports program, along with most art's academic streams within the university too.

The coaches are not even close to being paid what their actually worth in terms of revenue and profit to the University.

That actually makes sense though, football at big schools brings in so much money, and you have to pay to attract good coaches to keep that money coming in

Most schools lose money on sports. They’re just hoping to get more future donations from alumni.

Career politicians need to be stopped. Being a politician should be like jury duty.

Less scrutiny maybe? The sweet spot of just being powerful enough to get rich off corruption but just low enough in the heirarchy to avoid prying eyes

Federal salaries are passed by acts of congress. Local salaries are passed by the people that receive them.

I understand what you are getting at, but this would only encourage the mega rich to run and/or encourage even more graft and corruption. They would only do it to make money illegally.
