GOV. MURPHY'S STATEMENT REGARDING POLLING SITES, IS MISLEADING! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE BY MACHINE EVEN IF YOU SHOW UP AT A POLLING SITE!
All registered voters will receive their mail-in ballot by October 3rd.
Gov. Murphy announced that polling sites will be open, however, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE BY MACHINE! Polling sites are only open to accommodate ADA voters. The rest will be told to hand in their mail-in ballot.
If you turn in your mail-in ballot at a polling site, it will be counted as a 'provisional vote.' Provisional votes are COUNTED LAST and may not be counted for up to two weeks after the election.

BEST OPTION IS TO SUBMIT YOUR BALLOT AT A SECURE BOX LOCATION! Secure box voting locations will be announced by Gov. Murphy's office several weeks before Election Day. These secure boxes are picked up by a local Democratic AND Republican representative and brought to the Board of Elections for each county where they are counted both by machine and by hand. They are not opened until they reach the County Board of Elections!
In the absence of machine voting, Secure Box drop off is the best and safest option for your vote!
Do not trust the postal service and do not cast a provisional ballot which won't be counted for 1-2 weeks! Take your mail-in ballot to a Secure Box location!
