I think the biggest problem with the confusion of "what is q" is that the anonymous nature of the poster leads to mystery, reverence, and sometimes the trappings of a religion. Instead of their regular MO of character assassination, the msm must resort to smearing people who read drops as a cult, while in reality most people (like me) just casually read drops and weigh them against what they know to be true.
At the end of the day, it's just another random person's opinion on the internet. Take everything with a grain of salt.
