I have not watched a game since a player that I do not need to name took a knee and the NFL stood by and by default supported it. A few high school friends and I used to get together for a game, usually two per year. Four tickets to the game, possibly up to 8 if spouses came along, beer and snacks at the game. If it was not within driving distance we'd have plane tickets and hotel stays. For our small group it was several thousand dollars per year. Does the NFL notice us gone, nope. Multiply our group several times over by others fed up with the NFL and it's a financial hit. It was less about being NFL fans and more so the fellowship and having a good time with life long friends. The loss is for the NFL and not me (us). Right now we're planning a offshore fishing trip so that may become our yearly routine to get together, definitely will not ever return to NFL games even if covid were to 100% disappear tomorrow.
