from what I can ascertain is that it is saying we need more government, and more and more government, and then even more government. After that, it goes on to say that we need even more government, and then more government. In other words, we just need more government. I guess that's why we're so unhappy, we just don't have enough government.

Not surprising but the Republicans, despite being the party of smaller government, don’t exactly have a great track record for reducing the size and scope of government.
Another reason to love Trump. He has actually cut regulations and shrunk the bloated government. Easy to see why Biden’s platform is to reverse this.
