During structural failure events, one would expect the weak part to go, and there would be sliding and leaning as the load from the failing part of the structure is transferred to the remaining part of the structure.

The "pull it" thing has been thoroughly debunked. There is also footage of firefighters saying the building was going to collapse well before that.
