Yeah, I'm from the area. Definitely not particularly visually enjoyable. There are a few young and pretty Asian college students if you go to the right areas, but a lot of the city's visual experience is mainly black, and also Hispanic (though not the attractive kind), and a comparatively large amount of obesity -- although that gets exaggerated. Strangely, it doesn't come off as "diverse", just monotonous. Exceptions are places like Coney Island (shops in Russian) and parts of Queens (Chinatown). Other than that ... wouldn't recommend it much, sadly.

I swear i took 6 or 7 uber rides and they were all Dominican, not sure what that's all about! Most of the white people I saw were on the bus headed back to Manhattan and seemed kinda in that millennial hipster rich vibe living the Friends lifestyle
