Nature vs Nurture has always stirred up debate as to the share of influence each one has, but to insist that Nature has NO influence on behavior/intelligence is extremism on a historically recognizable level.
If that’s what you think I was saying, no wonder you were pissed. Twin studies on intelligence suggest roughly 50% of variability is driven by genetics (nature), where the other 50% has to do with socialization, early effective exposure to stimulating things, etc. Aka nurture. Both are big factors. Genetic heritage matters, but there is a huge influence of social impact. There’s nothing you can do about genetics, so I will always put primacy on nurture since it’s what we have power over. Skin color is one aspect of genetics, so I acknowledge and move on to more important things, namely, is someone a member of a thug and criminal culture? Do they hate America? These matter far more.
