Kansas City has been a rabid football town for decades. Also, they are the defending champs. Not surprising to see the faithful showing up even with the current circumstances. I didn't watch last night but I've heard there was lots of booing for the one idiot that kneeled during the anthem.
We also have to remember that are large portion of fans are still dems. The NFL is huge and it isn't going to poof overnight as much as we hope to meme that into reality.
Years ago when the Cardinals left St Louis, I tried to get some Chiefs tickets but they were sold out an entire season in advance. I can only imagine how hard it was to get a ticket after they won the Super Bowl. Before Covid, anyway.
