I bet there are a lot of doctors who feel the same but are too afraid of being cancelled to speak out.

I'd imagine that if you are so vocal and no one cares you have to have a pretty high standing where you work. Otherwise, you wouldn't be there much longer.

Because it cannot just be his diplomacy and charisma alone? What an ignorant statement to assume only those higher up the totem pole can influence.

In most places anyone who expresses an opinion that's right leaning and does so very vocally puts himself at risk. So yes, I assume that such a person has clout where they work. Being a doctor to start with probably gives some, but average Joe usually needs to mind his mouth unless he knows he's fairly untouchable. We've heard enough stories (many of which are routinely posted here) of people having their careers destroyed for expressing right leaning opinions, so it's not ignorant at all.

I was barred from being with my wife when we had a child. I spoke to the doctor over the phone as he explained next steps, care, recovery, etc.

He said that the hospital policies are ludicrous, and that the hospital owners are just business men and don't care what any of the doctors say.

i can attest to that...the emails we get from presidents and ceos in our health organization just ooze lefty ideology....and i work for a "Christian " hospital system
