Things I experienced in Iraq, and watching this live on TV as a high school kid are two things I'll never forget in my life. It still sends chills down my spine thinking about it. I know these people were facing being burned alive, but I still don't know if i could've willingly jumped to my death like that....I guess you'd never think that unless you were facing what they were though...
A certain percentage of these people were passed out on the window sill due to smoke inhalation and fell unconsciously - if that's any consolation, not being conscious when you hit the pavement.
