And I’m gonna be honest, I think the rise and fall of ISIS has caused a degree of disillusionment with Sunni Extremism to form in the Middle East.
And I also think Trump successfully cowed Iran into, at least temporarily, stopping their funding of Shia extremists.

Well think of it this way.
Israel isn’t looking to expand its influence in the Middle East, it’s much more interested in domestic security and trade with Europe and America.
Iran on the other hand wishes to expand its influence, over throw all Middle Eastern monarchies and replace them with Islamic Republics (which would all be under the Ayatollah’s influence).
Also unlike Israel, Iran does not believe in freedom of religion, you can bet your ass that if given the chance the government of Iran would not hesitate in declaring Sunni Islam heretical and illegal.

We are reflecting exactly how we should be reflecting. We need to progress as a society to understand the difference between you not liking something that is posted versus you demanding that others don't post something because you don't like it. That is why the imagery being used in the other post is so strong because it does represent exactly that, a post that differentiates people those who are mature and rational people versus those who are offended and try to use that to bully others into submission.
We are better than our enemies and it's because we have the freedom to post things like that. The second that we start trying to cater to the bullies who derive social laws based on emotion and being offended, then we are no longer ourselves.
Right now, YOU need to stand up and say "fuck all those people who try to bully me into conforming to their outrage culture." It's time to say "I am who I am and if you don't like it, that's your problem not mine." We are not conformists. We don't back down to bullies. We need to show that the outrage culture is just immaturity and that we are better than it and that's exactly what that type of post does.

Reminder that Qasim Soleimani was the biggest obstacle to peace in the Middle East, and has been for decades. He was Iran's Big Stick that could be waved at anyone, including other Middle Eastern Arab nations.
Nobody wanted Soleimani opening shop in their neighborhood, and bringing with it all the risk of US reprisals, drone bombings, sanctions, etc. Consequently, whatever Iran said was law. If Iran said no thawing of relations with Israel, no recognition of Israel, then that is what every country followed.
When Trump took out Soleimani, he did more than deal with a direct and imminent threat of attack on US assets in Iraq: he disarmed Iran. Iran is now a toothless tiger, so Middle Eastern nations are now free to make their own decisions. For moderate nations like Bahrain and UAE who would value the increased flow of US and Israeli capital and investment, this means normalization.
And like first order and second order actions, as each new country joins in, the controversy for joining lessens and the risk of being vilified as the last remaining holdout increases.

The Arabs DESPISED him for all the shit he had his fingers in all over the region, hence why the ME didn't burn after POTUS had him whacked.
