I was on Reddit one day and sorted my feed by New. Of course the AskReddit sub hit the top. One question was pretty good and it asked "what changes do you wish could be made in public school?" I commented -"that teachers and schools would promote and embrace free thinking."

I got distracted and came back to see I had 20k upvotes and a hoard of teachers condemning my comment. They were adamant that free thinking has a line and when thoughts and ideas go against facts - they should be corrected. I spent 3 hours arguing with them.

Little nuggets add to this.

The problem with the Orthodoxy calling every inconvenient thing a 'Conspiracy Theory' is that a variety of them are stone cold truth.

1: Epstein didn't kill himself.

2: Go research the oldest pyramid, then examine personally the images of the stone artifacts and pottery discovered there. Focus on first the single-piece delicate stone "urns" - mentally price out "How much would this cost today - particularly with the 1-2mm polished walls?" and then track down the pottery lids. Yes, the Orthodoxy insists that those lids came off of those urns. Really. Because anything else blows up the entire narrative.

You can trigger NPCs pretty decently by referring to their beliefs as conspiracy theories.
