In a cult, they require you to pay for special privileges.
In the Democrat cities, they steal from the workers and distribute that money along with special privileges to the unproductive in exchange for their votes and support. They steal half of that amount for themselves in the process.
NYC & NYS annual budgets are similar. 50% social programs, 50% everything else (PD/FD/DOE/DOT/Transit/etc.) 25% of that budget goes straight into the pockets of corrupt people/organizations/workers/unions/etc. in the form of kickbacks/overcharges/billed unworked time/fraud/etc.
The biggest problem for NY (and other major democrat cities/states) is, once you put into place these programs that are more generous than other states, like subsidized transit/housing/healthcare/etc. They act like a magnet to attract more of these unproductive people. From not just the region. Not even just the state or country. But the entire world! So now you wind up in a situation where the only people that want to live in your area (which has some of the most expensive real estate in the world) are those who pay little to no taxes, and don't care about anyone or anything but Free Shit.
Anyone with a brain can see these policies are unsustainable. The problem is those with brains have already moved away, or already have one foot out the door.
I don’t see why ANYONE would vote Democrat, especially in NY. Democrats literally killed grannies, how is anyone still voting for them???
its a religion now, no truth or facts will matter to those in the cult
It's the opposite of a cult.

Its beyond reason for any of them. We would be suprised on how many people think their grannies are colateral damage
