As a first responder myself I want to completley agree but theres a reason athletes get paid so much, even if people think it's too much. Arguing that athletes are over paid hinges close to leftist communist territory. The market dictates athlete salaries based off of competition and the value they add in terms of entertainment and money that brings. First responders unfortunately don't bring money in. But we don't do our jobs to earn that amount of money and am satisfied with my pay
Yeah, there are (were?) some great heroic athletes, such as Michael Jordan. (If I'm not mistaken.) Cool dudes who broke their backs to get to where they're at and inspired others to rise with them.
I’m guessing your era, the athlete of today pays a fee to a PR firm to handle it. All he does show up as requested and cut a check for his charitable tax deductibility ............
Only the ones that criticise the real heroes. Just because they're an athlete, shouldn't immediately condemn them
Athletes are overpaid. First responders are underpaid.
