Most of them were in just seeing the first tower on fire. They would have heard the second hit. Not even knowing what was going on. Maybe some lower down heard and knew about what it was.

Still, they went in. Still wanted to help and save people.

The word "hero" is just to small a word to use to describe them. No word exists for the courage they had that day.
