I have a Muslim friend from Uzbekistan who is super conservative, loves Bill Burr, and is voting for Trump. Really nice, loyal guy. Only one who called me on my birthday instead of just texting.
He has a lighter complexion, but you can tell he's Middle Eastern. He looks kinda Russian. Dark hair, dark eyes, but he doesn't look like what you'd expect when you hear "Muslim". I've never seen him with a turban on or anything haha, just working in his uniform. Moved here in his early 20's. We used to call him "The Sand Scorpion" before he moved across the country. Dude is more American than a lot of white people that I know.

So confusing though, cell phones could not connect from flight altitude at that time. Personally know several Motorola engineers- mobile phones simply did not have enough power to connect, airplanes did not have those connections on these planes. Impossible to have made those calls at flight altitude. And amazing how crystal clear they sounded, right?
I'd also imagine some of them did come from cell phones once the planes reached low altitude. If cell phones worked from the highest floor of the WTC (and they did), then they worked from the planes for at least a brief moment in time -- these planes were hijacked and flying well below altitudes requiring pressurization for a decent amount of time
They weren't in those planes yet. I flew the very next week, and almost every week after that- no phones in planes. Believe me, my parents would have been happier with things if there had been.

One of the towers had a work crew working on the very floors that were hit, using materials needed for controlled demolition but not needed for the balcony they were supposedly building. However when I see pictures of the people jumping - people who threw their bodies out of windows to certain death to get away from the flames, or when I hear those last messages of people calling home from the planes, I burst into tears.

Than reality hit and I realized that those were people and they were jumping to their deaths. Just want to share a little story. I was in a major US airport and had the pleasure of having my naked body magnetically viewed by morbidly obese black (this is relevant) TSA workers (thank god I exercise lol). Anyways, the poor elderly lady in front of me seemed nervous and mistakingly walked through the strip-search-scanner without pausing and raising her arms up. The TSA “ladies” started to yell “what do you think you are doing, you just need to stand there and listen to directions...!” I didn’t hear then say shit though, they just expected the poor lady to know what to do. When the old lady was far away one of the TSA agents said “fucking white people”. I was shocked, but they and I knew they could fuck my day up if I spoke up so I just shook my head and got scanned. Later, the same two ladies were in the fast food line with me in one of the terminals and were berating the Indian workers for things that weren’t even their fault. One thing I remember is them bitching at them that the cole slaw was nasty and they wanted two mashed potatoes on the side. They made sure to let them know at the last possible second just to fuck with them.
Anyways, I’ve had a handful of other experiences with TSA. They mostly have just shown a complete lack of care and distain for their job, but this blatant racism I saw just took me by surprise. It makes perfect sense to know that it’s taught in TSA school.
I was young when the TSA was formed, and was one on many who applied and interviewed for a position. I have a very high IQ, sailed through the screening... but was rejected.
Every interaction I've had with TSA since has solidified in my mind that they wanted a very specific type of drone for those positions. Never someone with the capacity to question.

Flight 77 took off from Dulles and was was a scheduled flight. Dulles airport is only 30 miles from the Pentagon. There was literally no time to react or any reason to think the first WTC plane was terrorism at that point. Everyone was focused on NYC from the first strike on the Tower 1. Everyone thought it was an accident up until then. Adding to that, shooting down a plane full of American citizens isn't something we do lightly.
I'm gonna upvote so that we never forget everyone who we lost that day and the loved ones they left behind. But I can't watch these videos, 19 years later and still it hurts too much for me to see it again.

I’m a retired detective and I’m been on many many fly trips to pick up suspects I obtained an arrest warrant for who fled and were captured in another state. When I fly armed the pilot and the rest of the crew are always notified preflight of who I am and where I’ll be sitting (in the back if with prisoner). I’m also told if there’s an air marshall or anyone else flying armed on the aircraft and where they are sitting. I’ve been on dozens of flights out of many major airports including JFK, LaGuardia, Newark D.C, etc. in my career during my official duties. Only twice was there an air marshall on board.

The walls of an airplane are extremely thin to reduce weight. With that in mind, if a random bullet from a civilian that isn't meant to reduce damage (like a glaser round) hits the shell of the airplane, everyone is DEAD.
Planes don't explode if a round penetrates the fuselage, it just leaks air. The pilots are warned about the drop in pressure and they fly the plane at a lower altitude.

I was on Long Island when this happened. I was in 6th grade social studies. When the first plane hit, we heard a few of the teachers running throighthe hallways, yelling. When the second plane hit, everyone suspected an attack and was speculating who did it.
By the time the towers fell, we could see the smoke and ash cloud from our classroom (couldnt see the city).
Two teachers from my school lost loved ones. The PE teacher quit his job and joined the military.
That moment put me on a path that would have me join the military out of high school and finally deploy with 5th Special Forces group in 2011.
9/11 was the defining moment of our generation and the world was never the same.
As much as it hurt to watch this video, I'm glad I did, because it is one of the most moving, and emotional videos I've seen. Hearing the last words of those poor souls who woke up that morning, headed off to work as usual, boarded planes for business or pleasure, and never came home again gave me chills. The loss of so many beautiful people in one day is a scar on this country's heart that will never heal. And it shouldn't heal, because we are a better nation for remembering their sacrifices, and what the 9/11 attacks took from us. Those of us who care, will remember, and will never forget for as long as we live. God rest their souls. May the Lord bless and comfort their family and friends for eternity. There’s an entire section of the 9/11 memorial in NYC that has the audio from that day and, holy shit, is it surreal. Seeing all this unfold on tv 19 years ago was insane, but going there last year was a whole other level of “this really happened.” All the stuff in the memorial is amazing yet, at the same time, sad. Seeing the beams that still stand there today and knowing that’s where all those people spent their final minutes is very emotional. The memorial and museum put it in a whole new perspective for me. So damn sad.
Man this brings chills to me. I was a military brat ( 9 at the time)and we were stationed in Andrews Air Force Base (base that holds Air Force 1). I was home schooled at the time and I remember my mom just weeping and than turning off the TV and telling us to continue our work. My dad was with the president at the time as air security and she didnt want us panicking. The base locked down into code orange, snipers in the woods at every checkpoint and we were in a complete lockdown for a while. It was so surreal. I remember finding out that my boy scout leader died during the pentagon crash and not knowing what to do. This and the D.C. Sniper attacks a year later resulted in some crazy childhood experiences/ memories. We moved shortly after and I was in public school and I remember being on a school bus and not knowing if we were gonna get shot up as the shooters were on the run and committing attacks for 3 weeks. The speaker for my 5th grade graduation was the guy in charge of the task force that caught the DC sniper.

So confusing though, cell phones could not connect from flight altitude at that time. Personally know several Motorola engineers- mobile phones simply did not have enough power to connect, airplanes did not have those connections on these planes. Impossible to have made those calls at flight altitude. And amazing how crystal clear they sounded, right?
Back then airplanes had phones on the back of the seats. Cost like $3 per minute or something crazy. You activated them with your credit card.
I'd also imagine some of them did come from cell phones once the planes reached low altitude. If cell phones worked from the highest floor of the WTC (and they did), then they worked from the planes for at least a brief moment in time -- these planes were hijacked and flying well below altitudes requiring pressurization for a decent amount of time

I was in a major US airport and had the pleasure of having my naked body magnetically viewed by morbidly obese black (this is relevant) TSA workers (thank god I exercise lol). Anyways, the poor elderly lady in front of me seemed nervous and mistakingly walked through the strip-search-scanner without pausing and raising her arms up. The TSA “ladies” started to yell “what do you think you are doing, you just need to stand there and listen to directions...!” I didn’t hear then say shit though, they just expected the poor lady to know what to do. When the old lady was far away one of the TSA agents said “fucking white people”. I was shocked, but they and I knew they could fuck my day up if I spoke up so I just shook my head and got scanned. Later, the same two ladies were in the fast food line with me in one of the terminals and were berating the Indian workers for things that weren’t even their fault. One thing I remember is them bitching at them that the cole slaw was nasty and they wanted two mashed potatoes on the side. They made sure to let them know at the last possible second just to fuck with them.
Anyways, I’ve had a handful of other experiences with TSA. They mostly have just shown a complete lack of care and distain for their job, but this blatant racism I saw just took me by surprise. It makes perfect sense to know that it’s taught in TSA school.
I was young when the TSA was formed, and was one on many who applied and interviewed for a position. I have a very high IQ, sailed through the screening... but was rejected.
Every interaction I've had with TSA since has solidified in my mind that they wanted a very specific type of drone for those positions. Never someone with the capacity to question.

Flight 77 took off from Dulles and was was a scheduled flight. Dulles airport is only 30 miles from the Pentagon. There was literally no time to react or any reason to think the first WTC plane was terrorism at that point. Everyone was focused on NYC from the first strike on the Tower 1. Everyone thought it was an accident up until then. Adding to that, shooting down a plane full of American citizens isn't something we do lightly.

I’m a retired detective and I’m been on many many fly trips to pick up suspects I obtained an arrest warrant for who fled and were captured in another state. When I fly armed the pilot and the rest of the crew are always notified preflight of who I am and where I’ll be sitting (in the back if with prisoner). I’m also told if there’s an air marshall or anyone else flying armed on the aircraft and where they are sitting. I’ve been on dozens of flights out of many major airports including JFK, LaGuardia, Newark D.C, etc. in my career during my official duties. Only twice was there an air marshall on board.

That moment put me on a path that would have me join the military out of high school and finally deploy with 5th Special Forces group in 2011.
9/11 was the defining moment of our generation and the world was never the same.
As much as it hurt to watch this video, I'm glad I did, because it is one of the most moving, and emotional videos I've seen. Hearing the last words of those poor souls who woke up that morning, headed off to work as usual, boarded planes for business or pleasure, and never came home again gave me chills. The loss of so many beautiful people in one day is a scar on this country's heart that will never heal. And it shouldn't heal, because we are a better nation for remembering their sacrifices, and what the 9/11 attacks took from us. Those of us who care, will remember, and will never forget for as long as we live. God rest their souls. May the Lord bless and comfort their family and friends for eternity. God bless President Trump, and God bless America.

Some. Others used clothes tied together with cords. Others were trying to move to offices below and next door. They were hanging off each other. It was incredibly sad. You just watched helplessly.
Every year 9/11 should forever be a sacred day of remembrance. Every year 9/12 however should always be the day the military drops a MOAB on a goatfucker. You know, just to remind them what happens when you fuck around.

I lost my Dad a few weeks ago so I’m already feeling raw. Definitely in tears now. I was on the phone with my Dad when we first found out together that the first tower had been hit. It wrenches my heart. I love my country and I love my fellow Americans. Praying we find a way to come together and love each other without savaging each other first. Thank you for sharing. We should never forgot.

the saddest thing, was how quickly the show of love of country, the unity, how it went away. I'll always remember one day my son said to me, 'I liked it when everyone had the car flags. it's too bad they aren't flying them anymore'.

There’s an entire section of the 9/11 memorial in NYC that has the audio from that day and, holy shit, is it surreal. Seeing all this unfold on tv 19 years ago was insane, but going there last year was a whole other level of “this really happened.” All the stuff in the memorial is amazing yet, at the same time, sad. Seeing the beams that still stand there today and knowing that’s where all those people spent their final minutes is very emotional. The memorial and museum put it in a whole new perspective for me. So damn sad.

Man this brings chills to me. I was a military brat ( 9 at the time)and we were stationed in Andrews Air Force Base (base that holds Air Force 1). I was home schooled at the time and I remember my mom just weeping and than turning off the TV and telling us to continue our work. My dad was with the president at the time as air security and she didnt want us panicking. The base locked down into code orange, snipers in the woods at every checkpoint and we were in a complete lockdown for a while. It was so surreal. I remember finding out that my boy scout leader died during the pentagon crash and not knowing what to do. This and the D.C. Sniper attacks a year later resulted in some crazy childhood experiences/ memories. We moved shortly after and I was in public school and I remember being on a school bus and not knowing if we were gonna get shot up as the shooters were on the run and committing attacks for 3 weeks. The speaker for my 5th grade graduation was the guy in charge of the task force that caught the DC sniper.
