There’s an entire section of the 9/11 memorial in NYC that has the audio from that day and, holy shit, is it surreal. Seeing all this unfold on tv 19 years ago was insane, but going there last year was a whole other level of “this really happened.” All the stuff in the memorial is amazing yet, at the same time, sad. Seeing the beams that still stand there today and knowing that’s where all those people spent their final minutes is very emotional. The memorial and museum put it in a whole new perspective for me. So damn sad.
