I remember vividly watching this 4-5 years after 9/11 on whatever came before YouTube and it was really gut-wrenching but way better than any of the mass media ones produced. Had a very homemade feel, interviewing people in NYC in the days after 9/11. Lots of tough footage of Ground Zero. Scene I remember most is a man crying about how he had been picking up body parts for days. Broke me down hard.
Figured I'd ask fellow pedes, as I'm sure everyone on reddit wouldn't give af about finding this. It's not the French one (9/11 about the firefighters) but a similar feel.

It came out earlier than 2005-2006, but was re-released on tv again about 2005-2006.
Some French film makers were doing a documentary on a NY fire station.....which was pretty boring until 9/11.
Thanks for the try but nah it was just simply titled "September 9/11 Memorial" and was interviews with New Yorkers.
