He was murdered in cold blood for his fame and fawning over he had from the brass/vip's/women, you have no idea how much others hated him for it. Him being critical of Iraq was simply an excuse.

"He was insubordinate and threatened the mission/safety of our assets..." or some such shit was said, to the grunts and Rangers that questioned anything about the killing.

It really pisses a lot of men off when you don't have to even ask for sex from women, let alone ever pay for it.

Then there are the closet homosexuals enraged for their feelings toward famous and attractive men, feelings they cannot hide whenever men like Tillman came into view or came to mind. Him in their unit had to drive them insane.
