In a way, going full socialist is as bad as going full capitalist (and by this, I mean totally free markets, no insider trading laws/securities law, no labour laws, no basic protections, which even America has).

If you took the Democrat Party of 20 years ago, and teleported them to now, they'd be just as aghast as the average person. My grandfather voted our equivalent of Democrat for most of his life, until he saw that they no longer cared about people like him. He wasn't taken in by what they said, just saw that they no longer lived by what they did originally.

So, he voted our version of Republican from then on. Same happened to my Dad, though he has always voted Republican, except for once as a young man, which he admitted to me was a mistake, as what he voted for did not materialise, if I recall correctly.

Will they really have a chance in 2024? I am not so sure. You cannot be complicit in this scale of destruction, and have people forget about it only four short years later.

Perhaps Tulsi won't want to wait until 2024, perhaps she'll realise she'll never get her due as a Democrat, and instead, become a Republican. (Just like that sherriff switched the other day, Dems typically sniping at him).
