I don't get why she is calling herself that and I fully agree with the residents there! Someone needs to put the word out that these people are not real journalists! They have no business being there.
The freedom of the press has also been held to include the freedom to be in the places you need to be to collect information the public has a right to have, to record that information, and not to be harassed by the government while doing so. Those are are crucial pillars to press freedom, which would be pretty useless otherwise...
ALL "journalists" have an agenda, a narrative to advance.
My point is that, if you let people start deciding which narratives are acceptable for journalism, it will be used to attack the freedom of the press in ways that we won't find acceptable.
Instead, we have to accept that journalists will always push a narrative, accept upon ourselves the responsibility to process all information critically, and do our best to use logic and reason to help others see the bs narratives pushed by "journalists" like these antifa asshats.
I bet they don't believe "AntiFa" actually even oppose fascism because they're so dumb they don't realize that it MUST be anti-fascists otherwise it'd be physically impossible to call themselves anti-fascist!
I actually had this used as an argument yesterday on Facebook by a friend of over forty years. I felt bad destroying him. Then he went on to cry about being the only liberal in our tiny hometown. He is the only guy who never left town.
Those three are lucky to be alive. One day they'll be disappeared for no reason at all.

There is no such thing as a "real journalist"!
The first amendment protects your right to gather information and disseminate it just like it does CNN, NYT, MSNBC, etc.
Think about it like this: if you had to be a "real journalist" to have freedom of the press, who would get to decide what constitutes "journalism"?
No way that could be abused, right?

They are using the "journalist" title to confuse people, they aren't there to report on anything, they are there to facilitate a crime spree.
Agreed.

Hats off to the men with guns who confronted them. They are there to loot.
"journalists"
This is just Oregon's hatred of Portland boiling over.
