Agreed 100%, my wife and I just finished season 2 and it's been great. The first 10 or so episodes of season 1 are kinda cringy but after that it's good
They mailed in season three because NBC moved them to Friday nights and they knew their core audience wouldn't be home for that. But the best Trek episodes are still good today, more than 50 years later. How many tv shows can say that?
Ha yeah season 3 had all the weird ones like the one with the space hippies. Kirk has always been a role model for me and finding out shatner is based made it feel even more awesome. "I want my pain! I need my pain!" Still remember seeing that as a young man and it sticks with me to this day.
I think you're being too harsh because characters like Lieutenant Commander Data, the Borg, the Ferengi, Emergency Medical Hologram Mark I, Weyoun, Seven of Nine, the Cardassians and Tuvok were stunningly realized characters.
Each of the shows has their charm. People whining that TNG was communist never actually watched the show, they just make that assumption without realizing that Star Trek was meant to portray an optimistic future that we could strive for. People complaining about DS9 becoming a soap opera don't appreciate its serialized nature (which is common in modern tv), and that it tried to show a different perspective of the Star Trek universe. People complaining about VOY are forgetting that it was a return to a style closer to TOS. And people complaining about ENT are . . . me. (But I guess it was the last Star Trek ever made. Shame there weren't any new movies or TV shows made afterwards.)
I watched the original series as a kid. When TNG came out, I tried to like it but just got really bored with it. The tone was so very different from the original, despite the fact that they stole a number of plot lines.
The original was pitched to Shatner as Horatio Hornblower in space. Kirk was much more of a military captain than the other series captains. TNG and all the others were more about an SJW future.
I am a doctor. I have been telling my patients that they should expect a sharp decline in the coronavirus numbers around Nov 4. I typically get a good laugh about it.
The...only...good Star Trek!

So many memes for a very good reason.
Good times.

Sometimes I forget Star Trek Enterprise existed at all. And that's the biggest problem with that series.

My feelings exactly. I only like about 20 episodes out out the entire series of TNG.
You forgot about Orville, the best star trek made since VOY.
True, nothing wrong with that series either, but after that one...meh
Absolutely true!
Yah if you could only take the politics out of the virus then we would have an answer.
This is the best one ever!

The original Bones.
I love DeForest Kelley! I highly recommend his noir/mystery movie, Fear In The Night and any of his westerns. He's an amazing actor!
Nailed it.
