Neither was Christianity before we domesticated it. Now they think life begins at conception - instead of being part of the mother's thigh and an object owned by the father until it draws the breath of life and becomes alive, as the Bible instructs.
If I recall, the Bible acknowledged life in the womb. I’m pretty sure there was a part about a man causing a women to miscarriage will have done unto him by the women’s husband what he had done unto her. A life for a life, it even had specific rules for if the baby didn’t die. Harming unborn children was a heinous crime, even back then.
A lot of people don’t realize this but there are several versions of the Bible. The King James Version is one of the most common and most hypocritical version out there.
