This comment just got to me on several levels. Although I’m about 20 years shy of you target audience, I have known many men from the era you speak of. Actually one of my closest neighbors and friend is 71 and went to Nam. He really is a great guy but some of the things that happened to his body are not fair. Men like him are very few and far between. Which is why what you said hits home.

Him and I often talk and connect on a brotherly-level. We have a mutual respect and understanding of each other despite the age difference. A lot of it comes from our hobby of woodworking. I would honestly choose to hang out and get drunk with him over someone my own age, any night.

Idk what point I’m trying to make, except that I’d hang out with you any day. Give some of those guys a chance because we’re not all bound to the number of our ages.

Oh thank you so much. It's lonely out here for older boomer women who are patriots and single. Though I do find a lot of younger men I can talk with. There are some things that being near the same generation helps. Some shared experiences and understandings. The best part of being older is I just don't do "drama" anymore. Not worth the effort. And that's what men your age really appreciate!

We really do need to find a way for legitimate connections with each other without doxxing ourselves or putting up with trolls and shills causing us problems...
