I justified it by telling myself I wouldn't watch the content he was responsible for, and if Netflix saw enough people avoiding it, it might influence their decisions going forward. Yes, that was naive. I was still under the impression that what major corporations in America care about is the bottom line.

Then, Disney closed down production on all their films, and shut down the parks, for a fake crisis they were strongly instrumental in pushing. I've been voting Republican practically from the womb, but that was a whole new kinda red pill.

Still, I didn't cancel Netflix, because I told myself that they produce a few shows I like, and I didn't really think a boycott was going to make an impression on them. Obama supporters would get their shows, and I'd scroll past them, rolling my eyes, and get to the stuff I wanted to watch.

When they went full-on cheese pizza, it became a conscience issue. It no longer matters if they care about getting my dollars anymore. It's not about making a statement. It's about not allowing the money I've been allocated by my Creator to flow into the hands of His enemies. And, before this, I'd never quite seen Netflix as one of them.
