Yes, "the left" always consolidates power before attacking others. You do realize EVERYONE does that right? That isn't a left vs right issue. Also they were competing but I'd hardly say they "took down" society. The German economy was pulled out from the gutter of depression and debt enslavement after they got into power with the destruction of the central bank and stopping banks from being able to give out loans.
