People have to be careful. You can't be too fundamentalist when it comes to politics because it leads to bad places. You have to allow for a range of thoughts and ideas into your group. "The left is eating itself" is simply because there exists a fundamentalist group on the left, and if you are not a part of their extreme view, you are not "left enough" and you deserve to be protestested against and cancelled.
