Shout out to Mycah Kendricks for getting charged with insider trading instead of the typical DUI or domestic violence

Not only with impunity, they literally get their families and friends to invest in companies and then write laws to help those specific companies succeed. It's fucking bullshit.

I'd be happy if the entire Board of FTC Commissioners would be fired and replaced with people who would do their jobs. Gov't Accountants not commissioners, or even a well written program. Then, instead of giving fines, give them a couple of years on a chain gang, and take back all the money they made. and if that didn't break them, put it on pay per view.

4
TrumpTrain425 4 points ago +6 / -2

How about we hang them instead?

OOooh, I'd be okay with that, but I want the money back first. Let them die broke.

2
Bolesrerol 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'll never understand why insider trading is illegal. They made it a crime to act in your best interests with information that you got before everyone else did.

"Oh, this company that I work for is hiring blue haired college dropouts? I should sell my stock because they're going to ruin the company"

"Sorry sir, we're going to report you to the FTC for selling you stock before we let them ruin the company and cost you your livelihood."

I've been on this planet for more than 30 years. I've been arrested exactly zero times. How many people are in the NFL?

25

38 here and counting. Never arrested, never been sued, never sued anyone.

Then I read the news to find out I’m trash for being a white male.

The_Bloofy_Bullshark 5 points ago +5 / -0

Only time I had to go to court was when I was served by a credit card company after getting my identity stolen and massive charges made on my accounts.

So, I gathered my paperwork to prove I didn’t make said charges (I wasn’t even on the same side of the country that said charges occurred), went to court and it was pretty quickly dismissed and removed from my credit report. Didn’t lose my cool, everyone I dealt with was actually really legit and friendly.

How hard is it for people to not commit crimes (and even if they did, how hard is it for them to be civil)? Hell, when I get pulled over, I always act civil. I always mention the location of my (legal) concealed carry firearm so there are no surprises and from there we can figure out the best method of action going forward. I treat the officer with respect and at the end of the interaction, I always make sure to tell them to have a good day/night and to stay safe. It’s extremely simple, and outside of one bitchy officer who kept challenging how I looked on my ID compared to real life (because people don’t change their appearance over a decade later, apparently), I’ve never had a bad interaction.

Apparently my white-as-Hank Hill ass is a racist devil for not breaking the law.

But not the lives all these ass-hats have endangered with DUIs and domestic violence!

1600 per Year, with about 1/4 - 1/3 turnover per year. Probably 400-500 new players per year

Gee, I wonder why these players are so anti-cop...it’s almost as if these thugs are trying to get revenge and make future crimes easier for themselves

18
Panda 18 points ago +19 / -1

Funny thing is NFL let that Micheal Vick Guy play again and most people will say abusing dogs is worse than kneeing for the flag or equal

If you are good they will let you play .

If you can make somebody money you will be hired no matter what you did. If the crime is bad you better be able to make them a lot of money

I am still LIVID about Michael Vick, and when the Steelers picked him up was the INSTANT I stopped watching. I was a diehard fan until that point, but the organization showed their true colors that day--and they weren't black and gold anymore.

Dude, I'm on your side. This isn't Reddit. Don't get so aggressive. Do you want my entire history of watching the NFL, or do you want to agree that teams are making shitty decisions regarding their rosters, and that's good enough reason for people to stop watching and potentially forget about the order of events that happened ten years ago.

6
cuntard 6 points ago +6 / -0

there are a few that were. Guice, for example. Also Greg Hardy was arguably the best in the league at his position and in his prime, but DV was too hot a topic with the league at the time. Most of them were either “bubble players” or past their prime and gave the teams an excuse and avoided bad PR, though.

10
Covfefe_Crusader 10 points ago +10 / -0

That's not even counting the crimes swept under the rug for the "dey wuz gud bois" crowd with athletic talent while they are still in middle and high school. Gotta keep those future prospects out of jail and they aren't smart or self disciplined enough to do it even with help.

10
BiglyCovfefe 10 points ago +10 / -0

Approximately 1,600 players active on rosters in the league. Approximately 20 arrests per year over the last 50 years. That's a rate of 1.25%... Which is fucking awful for a bunch of entitled multi millionaires who are incapable of committing a crime of necessity. The arrest rate for our general population is about 3%, but many of those people are poor and trying to get their next meal, not just their next hit. Pro athletes don't have that excuse. I'd love to see the data sorted so we could get violent crime or domestic abuse rates for each major sports league. I bet they're terrible. Get off your damn knees and start holding yourselves to the same standards as regular Americans. World's smallest violin playing just for the kneeling clown world bozos. HONK HONK. 🤡

4
thisguy883 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well look at the way football players are groomed.

Most went through highschool / college on a free ride because their only skill in life is playing football.

Schools will literally bend over backwards to accommodate football teams because they make money off the games. College football alone generates so much income for these schools, that they will ignore the student's academic and behavioral failures, just so they can play in the next game.

The NFL is no different. All they care about is finding the next top player, signing him to a team, then make good money off his performance. They can care less about his background, as long as they met a certain criteria for recruitment.

So you have the NFL signing these thugs and giving them millions. In return, these thugs are now millionaires and enjoy the life thinking they have impunity from the law because they've literally been raised to believe that. Sad thing is, the NFL will spend a ton of money to make sure these people are playing in the next game.

It's all fucked, and it's all because of school dependency on football.

3
MerchantMan99 3 points ago +3 / -0

If anything, the extravagant money and fame they have might make it even more likely to get in trouble. They think they are above the law or they can just buy their way out of trouble.

8
Bigpoppatrump420 8 points ago +8 / -0

3

2
Keep_on_winning_kag 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, I think it's fair to say that most of the players are a majority of one creed, is enough to say that I can't also confirm it, but I'll tip toe around it and say yes, you are correct.

3
Bigpoppatrump420 3 points ago +3 / -0

The NFL is big on stats so lets see that one.

8
Smurfection 8 points ago +8 / -0

I've come to the conclusion that the professional athletes who are so concerned about social justice, are really just felons who hate they have to live in fear of law enforcement catching them.

Look at all the ridiculous sexism, racism etc training going on in corporate America and ask yourself, why aren't professional athletes going through this sort of training. They aren't because everyone knows they're thugs who just happen to be good at sports ball.

7

7
Not_The_FBI 7 points ago +7 / -0

Congress has a tax-payer funded slush fund that it uses to payoff/silence victims of sexual crimes committed by house and senate members. Mark Levin talks about it from time to time, but I've been trying to dig up my own sources for a few days now. It really exists.

The worst part is they use their wealth, privilege and celebrity to get minimum or no sentences, and continue life as the wealthy and privileged, for things that would ruin the average persons life, including rape and murder, things that ruin other peoples lives. They are overpaid prima donnas who contribute nothing of any practical value to society, yet we worship them as heros. Respecting a persons athletic abilities is one thing, professional sports is another.
