What's the point of giving them cellphones for official government work if they can just wipe them? If you think about it, the U.S. taxpayer paid for these criminals to have "burner" phones. I hardly think that's the intention when these are given out.
This really shouldn’t be a thing. I’m pretty sure there is MDM happening with government mobile devices. Which means there are permissions policies granted by MDM admin. Wiping from device is not usually not one granted. Defeats the purpose. However, they can be wiped remotely from MDM dashboard. Also, there should be backups stored.
Losing the data is bullSchiff also. All they need is live backup to a secure server(s) -- meaning out of the feeb's control -- and s/w to lock them down if the b/u is messed with.
