I used to listen to Fall of Ideals front to back all the time. I'm happy to hear this dude has a head.

I can't stop listening to Fall of Ideals. Just listened to it in full yesterday again for like the 50th time. One of the greatest albums of all time. You should check out Victim of the New Disease (ironic as it came out in 2018). It's honestly their best album in like 10 years. It's awesome and so slept on.

It was their last album with lead guitarist Oli Herbert. People also think it's heavily suspected his wife had him killed. Bitch was evil.

I can still listen to it purely on the basis of familiarity/nostalgia, but my tastes in music have completely changed since then. I would certainly say Fall of Ideals remains my favorite in the genre, but I also find myself unable to get into anything new within that genre. I will certainly give Victim of a New Disease a shot, but I can't promise I'll like what I hear. Although I loved it for a decent amount of time, "Hard and fast" has largely lost it's appeal to me over the years after branching out and discovering other elements of music I personally enjoy more.

Damn, make my metalhead self sad to hear that. There are some rippers with big breakdowns, lots of screaming but singing as well. There a few songs of straight singing and two ballads.

I never had that middle/high school metal phase up until my senior year of high school when I was 17. I was very late to the game but I honestly think I'll like metal the rest of my life.
