If a 14 year old can consent to having sex with an adult male, than a 16 year old should be able to vote. Liberal logic.

if the feds can mandate a 21 year old drinking age why can't they squash this attempt to bring in very impressionable teens that will cry for a week if their Instagram goes down.

They didn’t mandate a 21 year old drinking age, they used coercion by threatening to withhold highway funds from any state that didn’t raise its drinking age to 21. Prior to that many places had a drinking age of 18.

So up the ante. ZERO funds for any state that tries this. It is quite sad.

Universal suffrage is what kills every republic. You end up letting tons of people dependent on the system or with no stake in it voting on what happens with it.

They can only allow them to vote in municipal elections.
