I'm probably in the wrong for this, but when I'm out and about people who are wearing masks still are not human to me. They don't exist. No eye contact, no speaking with them, no saying Hey how's it going as I walk by, nothing, zero. You and I are done.

I'm sorry but I don't interact with sheep. Take the mask off and become human again

Whenever I talk to someone in a mask, I make them repeat whatever they say even if I heard them fine.. "what's that?", "Huh?", "Didn't hear you", etc.

Doesn’t seem like a good way to go through life and think about others. But whatever you do you man.

I upvoted you and I understand. I have a different view. I wear one and obey the direction signs, I do nothing to draw attention to myself. I remain quiet and I observe - who is watching whom?

Fuck the signs. I force employees to waste time asking me every single time. Many have simply given up.

I've got to make a living. I have to wear one for my job.

However, if I see a guest or customer without one then I leave them alone. I assume they have a medical condition which prevents them from wearing one.

ya employer making you wear 1 is unavoidable...

You are allowing human beings to be dehumanized by decree. While you recognize your own existence and humanity, you are losing the latter. I do not wear the muzzle. I wont comply. However, I will still treat all that do with humility and respect. Just because the sheep follow the wolf, does not mean I should lose hope for them as I try to lead by example, hopefully some will follow.

Some deserved to be dehumanized. For example, pedos aren't people, don't deserve rights, and don't deserve to be treated like humans because they aren't. Same for communists.

You do you. Not gonna argue with you, but I believe all souls are worth trying to save, but still deserve mortal punishment at times.

If I enter a business that posts signs saying it's required to enter the store, I put it on. They're allowed to run their business however they want, it's their property, and I respect their right to run their business as they see fit. Outside walking around I don't wear it.

You're as stupid as the leftists with your tribalism shit. Some people wear the mask for many different reasons. I personally do it to fuck with facial recognition for fun.

Also, wacky me thinks that businesses have a right to require you to not shit in their floor, wear shoes and a shirt to get service. You not liking the policy doesn't give you the authority to override the property owners' wishes.

If you want to mess with facial recognition, you need to obscure you eyes and nose. The mouth is irrelevant.

sickofaltspin 1 point ago +1 / -0

No shit. Dude I've got 20 years in the industry, you want to know how you can fuck with the eyes and nose with a mask? Well, first off the mask covers the nose, and geometric patterns on it make it hard to figure out the eyes.

Chick-fill-eh 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry, didn't mean to infringe... Most people don't get the idea.

Never thought about the pattern, butt it totally makes sense. What sort of pattern do you recommend? Little shapes? Big blocks? Many colors? Or just high contrast? Incorporating an IR reflectant seems wise.

I take care of me and don't concern myself with what others do. If someone feels safer wearing a mask it has nothing to do with me and doesn't affect me whatsoever.

Pro tip: Even if there's a sign claiming "mask required," most businesses won't enforce it, at least in my area. If you haven't done so yet, try ignoring the signs.

I wish there was a way to record who was one of the Maskfolk and who wasn't so we can all troll them mercilessly when it's over.

If course Maskfolk don't want it ever to be over. It's the first time they've ever felt important.

Seems like you enjoy saying it. How about this, if you treat people like this, for whatever reason, then we're done too - no business, no job interview, no social interaction. You can enjoy the fruit of isolation island while you treat people as nothing because of disagreements.

smug elitist behavior imo.
