Senate committees have no role whatsoever in the impeachment process. If you remember the House convicted and that obligated the Senate to vote.
The Senate makeup is currently 53-47, so if you lost those three it would be 50/50 and any SCOTUS judge confirmation vote tie would be broken by Pence.
