Oh yeah dry fire is great. I just bought a MantisX Blackbeard trigger resetter for my AR15. Shines a laser down the bbl when you pull the trigger and then a motor resets the trigger so it feels perfect.
Interesting. Good technique too for prone. The Blackbeard lets you run and gun, I'm getting some extras for friends and we're gonna train together with poor man's laser tag.
It would be going a lot better if I'd take the time to zero in the irons. Holosun says they come pre-zeroed but I wasn't even hitting the paper at 50yd yesterday. Had to start at 25 and move it out. Took too long so I still have to work on the irons.
Way back in the day, mine qualified expert with the M-60 while on a joint exercise with Special Forces. (Medical Unit) To this day I'm reminded how much more time she spent in the field during 10 years than I did.

We did it for hours on end in basic. Using a dime on barrel to practice the squeeze.
