Pede, im sorry to inform you, but I do believe your muzzle device is not timed correctly. The gas outlets are supposed to be pointing sideways, not vertically. This can be corrected with spacers.
Ha! You caught that. It's the one last thing I have to do. I don't have a work bench, so I had to combine a table vise with the long beam of my Bowflex just to turn the barrel nut.
That piece will be next after I get some grips/pliers/wrench with a mouth wide enough to grip it for me to turn.
What would happen if he tried to shoot it? I just finished building mine and I’m afraid it’s going to blow up when I pull the trigger for the first time
Omg macho man. Ive been building rifles for years. You don't think I know how much recoil an AR has? Lolol. Let me guess, you just got your first one, didnt you? Lol.
It's all relative jackass. With his comp installed like that he will have serious recoil, FOR A .223. Doesn't mean its anything compared to a 338 Lapua. Lol.
Na, not recoil backwards. Brakes usually push gas up/backwards, and to the left and right/backwards.
If he's got it on 90 degrees off, that "up" gas will push the barrel left (from the picture), and the left/right will be up/down, which won't mitigate barrel rise and should negate itself otherwise.
So overall, it's going to push him hard left and slightly up. And kick up a @#[email protected] load of dirt if he's prone.
Best to get that fixed. It'll be obnoxious to stay on target and you'll be blowing dirt all over your gun and yourself.
Now do yourself a favor. Bobtail your hammer, install some jp yellow springs, and get a set screw and use it to push up on your safety. That will lighten your trigger pull and remove the slack in the trigger.
They're definitely impressive at things they do. They're also very dangerous and unfortunately are a kid magnet. I've seen some heartbreaking tragedies as a result of a driver not seeing a child.
I keep imagining the owner having to use it to protect himself from an angry mob coming onto his property, then having the police come take this thing the way they did the McCloskeys.
You could do better, just watch some YouTube videos, just some basic tools and you can build your own at the very least as good as this pede attempted to do.
I have the exact same blue anodized aluminum bad lever on my truck gun (It bent under heavy use, but it looks good so I left it on).
I used a spikes “painted snowflake” lower, I named my “pistol” Libtard... (it has a binary trigger so the 3rd position actually does something; it’s binary, So it actually does 2 somethings...
You didn't build that!
Oh yes I did, Barack Hussein! Hahaha
Took me a second, but brilliant.

This is why you don't spend alot on your first build.
That's an easily corrected mistake. I would be more worried that his hammer spring is installed incorrectly.
If he missed something that obvious, I'm betting its installed wrong.

Should be able to just kneel on it and turn the muzzle with a wrench.
Just ask Kamala a tweet, she will help you out.
Good eye.
Sometimes it's just a matter of reversing the crushwasher/spacer (flipping it around).
What would happen if he tried to shoot it? I just finished building mine and I’m afraid it’s going to blow up when I pull the trigger for the first time
Nothing bad. Probably kick up a lot of dust and get some serious recoil.
Dust, absolutely.
Recoil? 223 doesn't have serious recoil.
With a compensator like that installed vertically, you WILL get recoil.
Hell, a normal AR compared to my AR has serious recoil. Lol.
No, I'll put the stock of a 223 - whether it is in a mini 14 or an AR - on my face and fire a round to show how little recoil is has.

Good for you, laughing boy. Built two myself - since you think we need to measure dicks.

Its not going to blow up.
You were right. This thing kicks ass!!! Super happy with it. Anyone out there thinking of building one, so worth it

Bring it to a gunsmith.... ask him to review your work....
Educated guess (please keep in mind, I could be wrong, am still learning about firearms), but I would believe it would cause an loss in accuracy.
They always be hatin on us garbage guys.
Thanks fren.

Nice ND assist lever.
He is not a qualified gunsmith. He cannot legally build for others.
He needs a few more builds under his belt. Look closely at the muzzle device.
You could do better, just watch some YouTube videos, just some basic tools and you can build your own at the very least as good as this pede attempted to do.
Looks amazing.
Honest question: Where did you learn and where all did you buy the pieces?
Tons of videos online to watch about building.
Ar15.com is going to be your greatest resource.

Holy cow, that's a lot of links. Thank you, I'll go through them.
Blue Lives Matter, baby.
This link helped me put most of it together, but I had to start watching videos from Midway USA for additional help:

Glad you finally pulled the trigger on this build...
Mostly peaceful AR-14.
"We've got to get rid of those AR-12s!!"
Wow is this a replica of Philip Brailsford’s battle rifle?
Lol! I had to look that up
"You're fucked"
Beautiful. Can I ask where you got the parts? I want one like this! It's super-painful to get lowers into Denver because of the magazine ban.

legit! thanks man!
Is that the one you're gonna use when the Thin Blue Line comes to take it after Biden is fraudulently elected?
They can take it from my cold, dead hands.
Ironic...
Where'd you get the foregrip? Looks awesome!

My hero. Thanks!
Top kek build
This shit made my day.
Thank you!
(Whining) I want one!
If Blue Lives aren't a race, how can policing be systematically racist?
Thank you!
Fucking sexy!
SEXY
I have the same exact anodized blue alum “bad lever” on my trunk gun. (It bent under heavy use but I left it on for now).
My lower: Spikes calls the lower “Painted Snowflake”, I named my “pistol” The Libtard, it’s got a lot of blue on it too https://www.hyattgunstore.com/images/D/1330398-IMG_7154.jpg
Outstanding!
Always love that blued look on a gun. Beautiful AR OP!
Thank you!
It's really terrible. I like it.
Thank you!
You'll get the bug now, guarantee it won't be your last build
Something
I’ll let it slide, since it looks awesome.
