No, China is just lying about their growth. They locked down AND had massive flooding that saw businesses destroyed AND seeing companies leave the country and record decrease in food production, etc, etc, etc.

There is no way they had any type of economic growth in the last 2 quarters.

Lenny, on the ground here. Business is up 50% over last year.

Where is 'here'?

Cause last I checked, the Three Gorges area got heavily flooded and most businesses got destroyed. Also, a ton of farms had to cull their pigs and chickens due to multiple hits of swine and avian flu.

Then you had 3+ months of them shutting most things down due to COVID.

So...if business is up by 50% then either the Chinese government is buying everything (which will push them closer to economic collapse via hyper inflation), or you are talking about such a small area, that it doesn't really matter since most of the country is dealing with economic hardships.

People are still buying tons of stuff from sites like Amazon and elsewhere, much of that stuff is coming from China. I sell on ebay / Amazon, my sales were up nearly double for a while. I had no supply disruptions from China, the only supply disruptions I had were on things that I import from India. I actually had to switch some of those items to Chinese suppliers.....

The news never reports on the situation in India, I've only seen a few third hand videos of police enforcing curfews.

Lenny doesn't want to get shot, so he sees business booming. Just like he doesn't notice all the missing people or barred/ welded doors.

Here is North East China, Lenny. Businesses that deal with importers that sell brick and mortar are suffering and a few other industrial products. However, consumer products are strong and steady. 2nd Quarter on Quarter GDP for China was +11.5 %
