Been called a racist for a few years now just for supporting Trump.
BLM doesn’t like it but 13/50 is why the stigma exists. It’s also why police are wary of interactions with black suspects. I mean we are all human we learn and form opinions based on our observations. And what we see is worrying.
People naturally form stereotypes for a reason. They are there to protect you from dangers learned from observation or experience.
A smart man is aware of the stereotypes he's formed and knows why he formed them while analyzing them to weed out the ridiculous ones and actually keep the ones that keep getting proven right. One's skin color is only part of the equation and should never be the sole basis for how you treat someone. The rest must rely on the actions of or the manner in which the person being stereotyped conducts themselves in.
That being said, if the black community would like real positive change then they first must take a hard look at the failing part of their culture that causes any negative stereotypes in the first place. There is a reason the news stopped reporting the race of an individual if they are black or another protected minority and did something bad. They're trying to manipulate that stereotype.

Moved from Bay Area CA to rural OR. I've seen bad behavior from people of all races. However, some of the worst I've ever seen was definitely "inner-city youths."
