My opinion on the police has evolved quite a bit since the Summer of George began.

Before it, I was a staunch libertarian. 1776 applies from the heights of the shadow government all the way down to the beat cops. Any civil servant with any level of power over We the People MUST be held to account.

After, any time I see trending on twitter the latest #JusticeForDj'akwando or whatever, I go, meh. I'm rooting for the cops. Why waste time? I could do a deep dive and figure out who's at fault, the cop or the jogger. I could play through bodycams, trawling through individual frames of footage, digging up crime records and FBI databases and all the rest of it.

But why bother? Let's cut the shit. We've seen this movie play out on our screens enough already that we know how the story is going to go from here. What can I say? Guess I'm just a racist fascist now. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Boy cried wolf happening in real life before our eyes. The one time a real, unjustified shooting by the police happens, everyone will be so tuned out that nobody will care about what did or didn't happen.

Now I saw they're protesting in PA over someone getting killed by police? I could look it up but fuck if thats not a waste of energy at this point.
