I just bought my first last week since selling my only one in 2009 and it was $650. The store only had two in 300 blackout and mine was $650, the other was $1200.
I'd never pay 2k for an AR. You can build one for less. Might as well go all out and buy a SCAR for 3k lol

I was being a smart ass. I have 7 ar's ranging from a $1500 762x39 build all the way up through a $3000 Wilson combat SBR build. Chambers including 556, 6.8spc II, 762x39, some builds and some bought. I'd probably never buy an AR priced under $1500. I also have a scar 17 SBR. It's really not all that impressive. Certainly not worth the 3700 I put into it.id have been better off buying a CZ bren 556.
I have shot some terrible ones. Smith and Wesson, palmetto State, bear creek. Once you get behind a great AR things come into focus. Great triggers with a proper gas system is hard to beat and worth the money. Then when we start adding things like FN chf barrels and quality optics it's a whole other game.
sounds about right. after the shooting in nova scotia trudeau banned AR15s even though the shootings were not done with an AR15. the radical left wants to get those semi autos and high capacity mags off the street and will use any reason possible to do it.
