I have cans on 556's, I have them on 6.8's. I understand all of that. I move cans around a lot. But this build was intended to be like a modern car with retro style. All the good tech with all the slick old school curb appeal. This is my 8th ar15
I hear that Key-mod is crap. Am I mistaken? I learned this after I purchased a nice gun that has Key-Mod. I am contemplating having it swapped for M-Lok. I read that US Mil drop testing showed that MLok maintained attachments 100% of the time, while Key-Mod only kept the attachments secure 33% of the time.
Anyone who rccomends Yankee hill anything will have their opinion put in the circular file immediately.
While you may not like the YHM recommendation, a suppressor makes shooting 5.56 much more enjoyable, especially when paired with a shorter barrel.

It's not worth swapping out.
It's actually better than MLOK in some tests. People don't like the look though.
I'd go with the bird cage TBH, it's a great fit with the build.
