I hear that Key-mod is crap. Am I mistaken? I learned this after I purchased a nice gun that has Key-Mod. I am contemplating having it swapped for M-Lok. I read that US Mil drop testing showed that MLok maintained attachments 100% of the time, while Key-Mod only kept the attachments secure 33% of the time.

It's not worth swapping out.

Thanks! I have a Noveske SBR in jail while I wait for my stamp. Good or bad purchase in your opinion? (I realize now that buying an SBR is just dumb when an AR Pistol is the same damn thing. Lesson learned on that one. But I am wondering if a Noveseke is really worth it. Also, what are your thoughts on Anderson Arms? I have a lot of questions. Sorry.)

About the prior. I havent had or seen keymod fail. As with anything, put it together correctly and it's good to go. It is more of a pain in the ass to get just right than is m-lok. If you are buying new, m-lok. If you already have keymod, keep it.

A Noveske SBR? That's a win all day and twice on Sunday. Can't wait to see it.

Thanks! It has Key-Mod, so I can't do anything about it now. I'll post in 2 years when I finally get it! I am debating optics and lights now but I have a lot of time to decide.

It's actually better than MLOK in some tests. People don't like the look though.

what types of tests? drop tests?

yeah. i saw a video saying it looks like dicks. Now that is all it will ever look like apparently.

Yeah different drop and other tests. The MLOK works fine, but Keymod was slightly more secure. The reason MLOK took over was because of looks, and the Keymods holes are bevelled, which requires a lot more machining time and thus $ to produce. Plus MLOK is being pushed by one of the industries big dogs.

Understood. Thanks for the info. I guess MagPul has more influence than Noveske just due to finances, huh?
